The Story Behind Crafty Kitchen

Food has always been at the heart of what I do—and Crafty Kitchen is where my love of cooking, creativity, and bringing people together comes to life.

With over 34 years in the food service industry and more than 17 years running personal chef businesses, my journey has taken me from restaurant kitchens and event planning to creating personalized dining experiences for families and groups throughout Southeast Wisconsin. In 2017, I launched my second personal chef business, Crafty Kitchen, LLC, turning my passion for fresh, flavorful food into a business dedicated to making every gathering delicious, memorable, and stress-free.

Today, Crafty Kitchen, LLC continues to offer personal chef services, in-home dinners, and business and residential catered services, with menus designed around your tastes, dietary needs, and special occasions. I use fresh ingredients sourced specifically for your event and take care of everything from preparation to cleanup, so you can relax and enjoy your time with your guests.

Introducing Crafty Kitchen Cottage Bakery

I’m excited to introduce a new division of Crafty Kitchen that brings another longtime passion of mine to life—baking!

​

Crafty Kitchen Cottage Bakery is a natural extension of my love of baking and my German heritage. It gives me the opportunity to create handcrafted baked goods and specialty treats on a smaller, more personal scale, right here at home.

​

The Cottage Bakery operates under the Wisconsin Cottage Food Law, which allows me to prepare and sell certain non-potentially hazardous foods directly to consumers without state licensing or inspection. But beyond the legalities, what matters most to me is the opportunity to make these products with the same care, creativity, and attention to quality that I bring to everything I create through Crafty Kitchen.

The bakery will begin with a selection of premium handcrafted granolas, with additional baked creations to come. Each product is made in small batches with carefully selected ingredients and a whole lot of love.

My love of food and creativity has also taken me beyond the kitchen and into publishing.

Four Course Menus for Four Quarter Games brings a unique twist to game-day dining, featuring four-course menus inspired by professional football teams, along with team facts and regional flavors. It's part cookbook, part football celebration, and a fun way to turn game day into an experience.

Four Quarter Games: Word Search Puzzle Fun keeps the football excitement going with entertaining puzzles celebrating the sport's history, teams, and traditions.

Discover Lake Geneva: Word Search Puzzle Fun is a tribute to one of Wisconsin's most beloved destinations, filled with word searches inspired by Lake Geneva's local charm, history, landmarks, and attractions.

From a handcrafted meal prepared in your home, to a fresh batch of granola from my cottage bakery, to a cookbook or word search book created at my desk, Crafty Kitchen is a reflection of the things I love most—food, creativity, and making people happy.
